Terms of service

These terms of service apply to the use of this website and its content, including payments made to me (Becci Curtis Yoga and Movement).

It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these terms and to make sure you agree with them before making a purchase, or participating in any online class or course facilitated by me.

Online class membership: how does it work?

When you sign-up, you will be taken through the checkout process, following steps to create a customer account, which you will use to manage your information and view your payment settings.

After sign-up, you will gain instant access to my online class library, plus the joining information for all live classes. (If you are new, have a read through what to expect in your first class.)

Payment

Once purchased, class membership will renew automatically each week/month depending on the payment frequency you chose at sign-up. My payment processor (Stripe) accepts:

  • Visa (credit and debit cards)

  • MasterCard (credit and debit cards)

  • American Express

You can securely save card payment information to your customer account. When viewing a saved card, only the last four digits of the card are visible. Only you will be able to edit your saved payment information in the ‘manage subscription’ section of your account.

Reviewing your class membership

You can view and manage your membership from your customer account. After logging in, click ‘Account’, and then ‘Memberships’ to view your membership details including:

  • Start date

  • Recurring membership fee

  • The date of your next recurring payment

  • How often your payment recurs to maintain access to online classes

  • The membership fee amount

Cancellation

There is no cancellation fee, or obligation to commit beyond the week, or month you have paid for. To cancel future charges, log in to your account, select ‘go manage subscription’ and click ‘cancel subscription’ followed by ‘confirm’ and you will not be charged again when the current billing cycle ends.

You’ll retain access to all live and recorded classes for the remainder of the billing cycle. At the end of the billing cycle, you will still have access to your customer account and the free mini class membership (if you have joined).

Can I ‘freeze’ my membership, or change my payment frequency?

It’s not possible to ‘freeze’ a membership while you go on holiday etc., but you are able to temporarily cancel—your customer account will remain—and you will be able to log back in and renew when you’re able to re-join. Similarly, if you’d like to change your payment frequency (from weekly to monthly and vice versa), you will need to cancel and re-join. However, in both instances, you may be subject to any price increase I have implemented in the meantime. Price increases apply to new memberships only; the price you sign-up with will be the price you continue to pay.

Refunds—7 day money back guarantee

Depending on the payment frequency you chose at sign-up, I will refund your weekly/monthly fee in full if you request this within 7 days of your first/subsequent subscription payment. There will be no cash refunds outside of this 7 day period, but I will offer to extend your membership at no further charge, or a discount code for you to use on a future purchase.

Termination

I reserve the right to terminate your membership, refuse to admit, or remove you from a live class. This would happen in the event that your behavioural conduct has undermined the dignity and respect of myself and/or other class participants, or if you breach the terms of service laid out in this document. In these unlikely circumstances, I will clearly communicate via email: what behaviour was unacceptable and the reasonable course of action I intend to take.

Live class schedule

The scheduling of activities may be changed on occasion. In the event that I am unable to deliver a scheduled live class and I am unable to offer an alternative, you will receive a refund, or a discount code for you to use on your next purchase.

Yoga for Cyclists online course

The terms for the online Yoga for Cyclists course are the same as those given for online class membership with the exception that access is granted by a single one-off payment, rather than a recurring fee. Your one-off payment grants you access to the course content until new course content is released. You will have access to the current course for a minimum of 12 months from the date you signed-up.

Course gift card

Gift card purchaser: Purchasing a gift card will create a unique digital code that your recipient can use to access the Yoga for Cyclists online course. At the checkout, you can choose to email the gift card code to your recipient, or to yourself. If the gift code has not been redeemed by the recipient, you can receive a full refund up to 7 days after payment was made. There will be no refunds outside of this 7 day period. Discount codes can’t be applied to gift card payments.

Gift card recipient: A gift card code can be redeemed on the Yoga for Cyclists online course only and is non-transferrable. Once redeemed, you will have access to the current course for a minimum of 12 months.

Intellectual property and copyright

The content of my website is my intellectual property and is protected by UK and international copyright law and can’t be used outside the provisions of ‘fair use’, or for commercial purposes without my permission. If in doubt, just contact me, I like to chat and I will accept any reasonable requests.

Outside of your immediate and trusted household (c’mon, I live in the real world), you are not permitted to share your customer account log-in, or content contained within the online class membership or yoga for cyclists course including Zoom meeting information, videos, audio, and images. If you think your account details have been compromised, you must get in contact with me as soon as possible.

Common sense but necessary disclaimer for live and recorded classes

The nature of online teaching is such that I cannot accept any responsibility, nor can I be held responsible, for anything you choose to do with your body in the comfort of your own home (I know right?!). By taking part, or purchasing any of the online products from my website:

You accept responsibility for providing all of your own equipment, clothing and footwear and the instructor (Becci Curtis) will not accept any liability arising out of defective equipment. You acknowledge that the instructor is not present with you and cannot make an adequate assessment of the area where you are exercising and it is your responsibility to ensure the area is clear, safe, and free from any hazards which may cause injury to yourself or to others. You acknowledge that you are responsible for exercising within your own skill and fitness levels. If at any time you feel the moves you are completing are above your current skill level you must cease immediately. Likewise, if you feel any discomfort, pain, sickness or dizziness you will immediately stop the activity.

Yoga is a method of self-study; personal limits are ascertained by paying close attention to sensation (i.e. how you feel). You are actively encouraged to listen to your body, take into account your general health and wellbeing, and rest (or make things easier for yourself) when appropriate.

I cannot be held responsible for any failure on behalf of internet providers, or third-party services such as: Zoom, Squarespace, and Vimeo.

Changes to these terms and conditions

I may update these terms from time to time as my business evolves and the services I offer grow and change. I will place any updates on this web page. These terms and conditions were last updated on 12 April 2023.
